I am initiating a game of Geoguessr. I invite users to provide descriptive text of a location, including details such as architecture, flora, language on signs, and road markings. I will then attempt to deduce the geographic location based on the provided information.

Looked up the King Arthur Flour The Easiest Loaf of Bread You'll Ever Bake and made it, and damn, that was some good bread. Perfect just with butter or jam, great as a base for french toast, I'll definitely make that again. Second time through I was running late to a movie, so I let it slow-rise covered in the fridge, and that made for much more traditionally chewy bread unfortunately.

One thing I wasn't familiar with was "adding steam" to your bake, which the recipe called for dumping boiling water into a cast iron skillet that had been preheated with the oven. You do this as you add the loaves to bake, then close the oven door quickly, so that a cloud of water vapor may envelop the dough, protecting it and preventing the outer crust from developing too quickly as the inside arrives at temperature. This way, you get a thin, crisp, delightful crust, instead of some chewy leather.

Risk calculation like this is a ham-fisted approximation of similar concepts in ethical analyses. Though widely mocked for its contrivedness, the trolley problem corresponds to real decision-making scenarios. Sometimes, one must make choices which balance harms and benefits.

Listening
Finally listened to Bad Bunny in earnest after his amazing Super Bowl 2026 performance, with Apple Music lyrics translations, his music hits fucking hard 🥹. I've really got to work on my spanish.
I forgot to mention that Anti-Spectacular came out with another album, fucking fantastic once again.
Watching
Against my better wishes, my partner got me to start watching The Great; I've been pleasantly surprised after getting past the first couple of episodes. Definitely appreciating the attention to nuance as a skill in the show what with the current fascist panopticons.
Started up on Jujutsu Kaisen S2 after a year and a half waiting to start it, it's a very different tone to S1, but I'm enjoying it in the end.
Gaming / Creation
I'm a good while into a personal minecraft world, I finally beat the dragon for the first time 😍. Exploring architecture and forms with new builds, enjoying watching trees grow and flowers spread with Dynamic Life . I think I may want to conduct a study of Frank Lloyd Wright works , love his stuff, copying is a great way to learn how great artists work <3
Wikipedia also has a simple list of roof shapes that would be useful to draw inspiration from.
Most recently built a small house that has a copper half-gable roof , with curtains at the doors inspired by japanese door curtains . I like the concept, seems like a nice way to get some privacy and shade while also keeping the door open to the elements. I'm happy with the amount of light I was able to incorporate with windows lining the edge of the ceiling and the lightness and contrast of the wood log supports + the snow block ceiling.
